A dry mixture of cement and sand mixed on the job site and sprayed onto contoured and supported surfaces (usually a steel frame) to build a pool or spa. Water is added to the mixture at the nozzle, giving the mixture a greater strength by eliminating air bubbles in the mixture. GUNITE pools are usually covered with a plaster mix to seal and smooth the surface.
